Vereen Memorial Gardens #2 - In 1791, president George Washington visited the South Carolina coast on his southern tour. He passed through Little River and had lunch with Revolutionary War veteran James Cochran. He spent the night nearby with local resident Jeremiah Vereen, an ancestor of the donor of the Vereen Memorial Historical Gardens.
Hello! I'd like to thank you for visiting and taking the time to view my photographs. I sincerely hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I've enjoyed taking them. I love trying to capture the natural beauty that lies all around us here in the Carolina's. It literally has the power to heal. I spent about 5 years of my life as a sales Rep. to High-End Interior Designers offering their clients Fine Art (hand painted oils). I love representing Fine Art and it was through that experience that I first became interested in photography. Working with Professional Interior Designers really taught me a lot about color, and I try to bring that knowledge through in my photography's post process. If you're inspired to make a purchase, please...

Lovely panorama and superb perspective, gorgeous light and shadow contrast, very nice green, yellow and blue! l/f
David Smith replied:
Thank you, Guido! It's a really beautiful area. I look forward to going back in the spring and catching more egrets. I saw a couple yesterday when this was taken, but they were barely within reach of the 300 mm. I didn't take the tripod out with me or I may have had some great shots of them as well. Thanks again Guido for the kind compliments.
